Southern Maine Paranormal Society is a Westbrook, Maine based Paranormal Investigators and Scientific Research group.  We are a non-profit group with tax exempt status (501c). 

We provide free inspections for paranormal activities to homeowners and businesses.  We do preliminary research and use scientific equipment to either prove or disprove the paranormal activities.  We will research and try to authenticate any evidence of haunting.  We go out to haunted places when we are contacted and do paranormal investigations.  Our main goal in approaching a case is to make every effort to "debunk" any paranormal activity by finding natural causes for the activity reported.

We bring recording devices to the homes to capture evidence of paranormal activity, but they are only used with the homeowner's permission.  We use our own equipment to track anything unusual, take pictures, video, and sound recordings.  We listen to our client's experiences and concerns.  Then we will set up the equipment and begin trying to recreate and debunk personal experiences in an attempt to find good evidence either for or against paranormal activity.  After the investigation, we review all of our collected evidence, come to a conclusion and discuss it with our clients.  We will then help our clients to understand some of the nature of the problem, if possible,  supplying them with the information needed to understand why this is happening.  We do not charge our clients to do the investigation(s).
